Underwriting Fundamentals eMag I 2018 - ongoing
Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
Context
The Commercial Underwriting fundamentals is a technical training program developed for IAG NZ to provide a consistent and structured approach to learn about Commercial Underwriting, track learning and ensure Underwriters receive the right level of delegated authority.
The development of this program has begun with the Underwriting Fundamentals.
As a result, I developed this eMag which is a resource for learners to use while completing their Underwriting Fundamentals. This is a refresher tool and /or a quick reference guide, which forms the first part of this program.
My role
I worked with stakeholders, SMEs and learners to understand the problem and uncover the business need through research and developed questions to conduct user interviews. I ensured the content and assessment created as part of the eMag was; aligned to cover learning objectives from all relevant business units at a foundational level, easy to comprehend, and fit for a learner to achieve their level one delegated Underwriting authority.
I incorporated action-mapping principles in workshops to focus on the job performance improvement and present users with realistic scenarios and their subsequent consequences.
I used interactions, created illustrations - alongside images to engage the learner and aligned brand for a better user experience. I tested the prototype with various business units and used feedback to finalise the solution.
